The Lord is the light

and salvation in my life

The Lord gives me strength

so I need not have a fear

Though all my foes may attack me

They will stumble and fall

For though a battle rages

I will trust my Lord.

One thing that I seek

Is to live out all my days

And learn from my Lord

As I gaze upon His face

Through all my troubles

He protects me

Lifting safe my weary frame

I will rejoice, and gladly,

I will trust his Name.

Dear Lord,

Hear my voice

When I call upon Your Name;

When seeking Your Face,

Hold me closely by Your Flame;

Though I may stray from Your Word,

Do not let Your anger last

Forgive me, Lord,

And keep me,

I put my trust in You.

Oh Lord, You are the light
